SON TAE-JIN

Son Tae-jin (손태진) is a South Korean singer with a bass-baritone voice and classical training. He became known in 2017 when he won the first season of the TV show Phantom Singer with the quartet Forte di Quattro, then won the trot competition Burning Trotman in 2023. Since then he has moved between classical, pop and trot, under the label Mystic Story. His fans are called SonShine.

SON TAE-JIN discography

Son Tae-jin released his first solo single, “Jamdeun Geudae” (잠든 그대), on March 18, 2018, followed by a first solo EP in November 2021. His first studio album, SHINE, came out on October 28, 2024. In 2026 he revisited Korean songs from the 70s and 80s with two records of covers: Bomui Yaksok (봄의 약속), released on April 15, then the album Yeoreum Hyangsu (여름 향수), released on June 10. It has ten tracks, including “Hasuksaeng” and “Saranghari”, a duet with actress Na Moon-hee.

Son Tae-jin and Forte di Quattro

Before his solo career, Son Tae-jin made his name with Forte di Quattro, a classical crossover vocal quartet formed on Phantom Singer with Ko Hoon-jeong, Kim Hyun-soo and Lee Byeo-ri. The group won the show in 2017 and released its first album on May 18, 2017. Son Tae-jin is still a member and runs his solo projects alongside it.

The official Son Tae-jin lightstick came out in October 2024, at the same time as the album SHINE. It is shaped after his initials “TJ” and lights up in orange, a colour chosen as a nod to the name of his fans, SonShine. You will also find the lightstick pouch from the THE MAESTRO concerts here.
